2I think this one moves the needle for the Mariners. This is a trade that sends players that are legit with high upside in Mejia. Arias is a defensive wizard that is figuring it out at the plate and is only 20 years old I believe, that will be in double A this year.

Preller has been overpaying this year, dealing from his surplus of prospects, as he goes for it. This would fit that strategy and pattern, with the exception of Lucchesi as the anchor here -- he needs to keep his pitching, so I'm not sure that piece of the package works. Maybe replace him with a prospect? The M's aren't competing this year, so they'd want prospects more than an established major-leaguer, I would think.
