4Reds get a high risk-high reward prospect in Whitley, as well as a solid future catcher in Lee. Astros get bullpen help in Sims, who has absurd spin rates on multiple pitches. They also acquire their catcher of the future in Stephenson.
I have to think Houston would prefer Whitley over Sims, and Stephenson does not make up the difference for them.
This wouldn’t make sense for the reds tho
Lee can be a decent replacement for stevenson, and whitley's ace potential is impossible to ignore.
