3In this trade the Brewers attempt to solve their long term 1B (or possible 3B) position without trading Hader. I would think Suter is the type of pitcher that would fit the pitching strategy of the Rays. He can start, he can relieve for multiple innings and he has been effective. I included Gyorko in this trade to replace the right handed bat of Diaz. However, if the Rays want a minor league prospect of about the same trade value I'm sure the Brewers would listen. The Brewers as usual under David Sterns also ask for and get a young pitcher with potential but still has a long way to go before reaching the majors.
YANDY WOULD BE A GOOD FIT ON THE BREWERS. RAYS NOT DOING THIS TRADE THOUGH.
Yeah, you're probably right. If I'm the Brewers I ask and see if it can lead anywhere.
