The most important part of this trade is Seth Beer winds up playing in Miller Park. Coors Field and Busch Stadium would also be acceptable destinations.

Beer still hasn't seen AAA yet and is still a ways away. He is basically a LF who they tried at 1B with limited success. Adams was overmatched at advanced A ball and way too far away to even be considered if the Brewers move Hader. The Brewers are looking for MLB ready talent, and Beer isn't it.

Three team trades are tough but I did my best to make this work for all involved. Angels are in a competitive window and seemingly willing to spend so they take on a significant under water contract and give up prospect capital to get MLB ready talent in return. Milwaukee should still be competing and is known to be seeking corner INF help. Who better than Beer, an MLB ready cost controlled slugger who's blocked in AZ, to fill that void. Beer/Brewers a match made in heaven. In addition they get a top 100 type OF prospect to restock the farm but surrender a young glove first SS. Arizona is rumored to be motivated savers this off-season and here they get away from $20m+ without giving up too much. With Walker at 1B Beer is redundant and Weaver's struggles make his upside a risk. Arcia becomes an inexpensive Ahmed replacement and Thaiss can play 3B if/when Escobar is dealt.
