2If the Rays are trying to cut cost by moving on from Kevin Kiermaier (owed 11.5M in 21 and 12M in 22), why would they bring on Khris Davis at 16.75M for 2021? That's a 5+ million dollar addition for a guy who is on the wrong side of his career and can play no defensive position.
Yeah, the Rays say no to this trade. KK is still a productive player at a hard to fill position. Davis doesn't check either box.
