2I think the Reds could wait just a tad longer and get Story for much cheaper. That's a pretty high price to pay for someone who only has one season left on his contract. Also, the Reds would be unwilling to give Hendrick for the same reason the Rockies would want him in this deal. Namely, the Reds don't really know what they have in him since he's so new and hasn't played professional ball yet. He was drafted out of high school in 2020. He has crazy power but it's unknown how well he can hit real pitching. He has an extremely high ceiling and for that reason the Reds are going to want to hold on to him until they can better assess him. However, it's for that exact reason (he's unproven with high potential) that the Rockies would want him thrown in with someone like India (a player who's almost MLB ready with a good track record and known abilities). I think India straight up for Story would be fair, maybe with a throw in, but Hendrick is certainly not that throw in.
