I could see Garrett getting traded at the deadline, and for a pretty decent return. But would LA be interested in giving up Detmers for him? That'd be 2 straight 1st rounders they give up (Will Wilson from the year prior).

Depends are where the Reds are at the deadline. They may just be buyers this year, and not sellers.

There's certainly the possibility of the Reds being a contender at the deadline, this is true. I think the idea of Amir Garrett requires us to entertain this question as if they *aren't* contending.
