5A's could not find a 2nd basemen since lowrie. With him back and semien gone, Andrus has done less than any of the pathetic 2nd basemen that the A's have played. With Story at Short and Pinder returning and Seth Browns emergence....A's will play in World Series with this trade.
Canha has been outperforming Story thus far and is much more affordable in a re-sign scenerio. This is a terrible trade for Oakland.
Sorry, but that's an overstatement. The A's have Lowrie; he's been playing well. They wouldn't trade 2 years of Canha and prospects for a one-year rental. That's not how the A's work.
Canha is on his last year of team control, he's a FA after the season.
The A's can't afford Story's salary and trading Canha is digging a new hole to fill the one at SS. Down vote.
