4A's need to desperately address SS and relegate Andrus to the bench vet role. Not only does Rojas represent a clear defensive upgrade, his positional flexibility allows for Oakland to shift Jed to DH on rest days with Rojas manning a competent 2b (as well as occasionally rest Olson with the same). Oakland's bullpen is also stuttering and although league-average, Cimber provides a much needed upgrade over Guerra, Guidan, and Weems. Miami gets a near-term solution to 1B and RF in Deichman and a low-level, high ceiling lotto ticket in Buelvas.
not only do the marlins not need a “near term” solution at 1B, but there is no way they would trade miguel rojas. you should delete your account
Nah no way bro, this is a horrible trade 😂 Marlins are loaded in the OF with prospects and lack infield depth. We surely don’t need an OF or 1B. Why would we give up our captain SS and a solid pen arm when a big need for us is middle infield, along with a depleted pitching staff due to injuries. This trade literally makes 0 sense for the Marlins. It’s basically like “oh hey marlins you have two good players i want, how about you give them to me for no reason and we’ll give you two players you don’t need”
Down vote. Your argument is valid but I loff Buelvas too much to let him go.
