2Rolison immediately plugs into Rangers rotation (replacing Lyles) and Vilade plugs in as a LF/DH platoon with Calhoun. Gallo would be nice addition in RF as a premier defender and monster-masher in the Rockies. I value an extra solid starter and a more consistent right-handed hitter to Gallo and his eventual high price tag.
For the Rangers, this would be an excellent trade. Two of the Rockies top prospects who are projected to be ready for the majors very soon. I believe Rolison will be a star one day. For the Rockies, this would be a horrible move. They are heading for a full rebuild, with a probable Trevor Story trade coming soon along with others. There is no reason to go out and get Gallo. Also, giving up two of your top prospects, including your top pitching prospect, for a guy who has a ton of power but struggles with Batting Average? No way they accept it.
