11Braves move rylie to left and get ramirez. Cleveland thinks they get a good deal (based on them thinking they got a good haul from the lindor trade) and start a rebuild and waste biebers potential.
I think you are badly under estimating the Indians' brass. Their GM would never go for such a hugely slanted deal. With Lindor the Indians knew they had zero chance of re-signing him for the money he would get. I think the entire baseball world knows they got fleeced badly, but nobody knows if that was the best available deal except the Indians themselves. They have Ramirez signed through 2023 with an extremely team friendly deal. There is absolutely no reason to trade him, especially for such a horribly under valued deal.
Please explain how the got a good return for arguably a top 3 shortstop at the time.

They traded four years of expensive control for 21 years of cheap control. You have to consider all the factors -- especially the money and years of control. That's how this works.
I understand the money part and that they had to trade him but I personally think they could have gotten a better deal but lindor wanted to go to new york. I doubt he didnt have an influence where we went.
There is no evidence he wanted to go to New York, and even if he did, there is no evidence that his preferences influenced the trade.
Cleveland amd lindor both knew there was gonna be a day when he was traded. Regardless if their was nothing reported I highly doubt he wasnt asked by the front office a list of teams he would go to.
They didn’t need his permission. He had no say in the matter.
Yeah, the Indians are going to eat $26M in value trading their best player that is signed to a team friendly deal through 2023 and likely to get extended. You have every right to propose Jose Ramirez trades, but maybe you should try to be fair if you want any respect from others and/or to carry a decent conversation. This deal would be absolutely stupid if the Indians made it.

I understand your reasoning with the lindor trade. They had to trade him because their was no other option. I think they met with lindor and asked where we would resign to get the best value in return with those teams. The only reason I think the indians would consider the deal is realizing they cant spend big money and realizing a rebuild may be on the horizon
They did not get fleeced on the Lindor deal, and I don't know anyone who thinks that.
