The Marlins are one of the few teams Brown might be an upgrade for in the OF, at least on offense, but he's been striking out a ton lately. This likely moves Pinder to the OF most of the time with some occasional SS. That might be for the best for Oakland since Pinder's OF defense is far ahead of his INF defense and the other OF options would be Piscotty (bad), Barrera (not ready), or Deichmann (hurt). Beck's chances of even becoming a viable big leaguer are diminishing by the day, but even then I do wonder if the Marlins would accept someone else for their rental reliever, like Eierman or Lazaro.
