Jed at SS would be... bad... on a level usually reserved for the first 30 minutes of a Disney produced, youth-sports movie. And the Royals have shown no inclination of trading Merrifield.
or they could keep Andrus at short and anything can happpen if they are big sellers and Whit has been in the rumor mil for a year or two
The rumor mill has been teams asking if Merrifield is available and Dayton Moore saying "No". They control Merrifield for two more years after this season and I don't think they're going to switch gears this July. Maybe in the offseason.

How would I feel about Merrifield to Oakland? Hell. No. He's 33 next year and is another RH bat in a line-up that needs more LH hitters. KC will want a LOT if/when they deal him and I think we've seen the best he has to offer.
