2The Jays pen has 6 guys who have at least one save on the season. Jordan Romano, their leader, has 6 saves. If this trade were to go through, it could be a good one for Toronto. The Cubs get CJ Van Eyk (#10), who already has 5 pitches and a good curveball, and Adam Kloffenstein (#9), who is on the rise with a good arsenal. So the #9 & #10 prospects in the Jays system go over for one-and-a-half years of a good reliever. Thoughts?
I'd say this is pretty fair. I think Van Eyk might be an overpay, but I wouldn't get hung up on it, either. Toronto could take the Wild Card with a strong finish, so it's worth it, in my opinion.
