3To me the A's say no because of Hosmer's $60M. With so many teams looking for power the A's will get somebody to overpay for Olson. Bassitt will also bring some nice prospects. They could then use that $60M elsewhere.
Hosmer has had Oakland on his No-Trade list for a while. So here's the $60 MM question: does he want out of SD so bad that he'd agree to move to Oakland?
Could it get nicer than Hassell/Gore/Abrams? I don't think so?
