2This trade is fine but from the Reds perspective they should want to pull either Senzel or Almonte.
Because Senzel hits .800 Career OPS+ against LHP in bandbox like GAB, he would be a 2b platoon for Lux and a capable CF defender. He COULD achieve a Madrigal type hit tool with LAD coaching and big NL West parks. Cartaya has a high ceiling in a premium position -- likely to progress to higher 30s sv in 2022. I'd want Senzel/Gray/+ 2sv minor leaguer for Cartaya to make this win-now for LAD. Yes, I'd make this trade.
