3With the signing of Correa, the Twins are all-in for 2022, so they need starting pitching. Houser will fit nicely in the Twin's rotation in exchange for three prospects. Winder is the main asset, with the outer two more lottery tickets. Make it happen. The Brewers have pitching and starting pitching has been picked over on the free agent side. Who else will trade starting pitchers?
Brewers say no and hang up. Why would the Brewers give away a good SP for a mediocre at best bunch of maybes. Winder is already 25 and barely pitched in AAA and he wasn't good there. He projects to be a swing man at best. Duran can't throw strikes in the minors and projects to be an AAAA type pitcher. Festa was still in rookie ball. This would do a lot more harm than good for the Brewers' chances this year. With SPs being in high demand, Houser would bring a much, much better pkg. than this if the Brewers shopped him.
Thumbs down for the Brewers. This would make no sense for Milwaukee. They give up a good starter and get no immediate help, possibly ever, in return. There is nobody for the Brewers to get excited about in this trade. This would make them a lot worse.
