1Angels get a glove first shortstop to supplement their second basemen that are currently listed as their starting shortstop candidates. Pirates get two far from the majors pitchers who are good athletes. Newman is just holding down shortstop until prospects (first inline Oneil Cruz) arrive for the Pirates and the Pirates have other options for that role(Tucker, Park, Castillo).
