Don't think the Rays would have any interest in Shewmake. They already have Franco and Walls at the MLB level (both a lot better than Shewmake) and Jones on the same development path as Shewmake (Jones is also better). The Rays system has plenty of other good SS at every level too. With Shewmake Rule 5 eligible this December and no clear path to playing time with the Rays, he's just not a good fit to headline a Meadows' trade.
