I don't feel confident about the value of each particular prospect, but I just feel like Kepler to the Padres as a building block to get Montas to the Twins makes too much sense for both contender. What do y'all think?

Not exactly for the padres

Kellstar

I firmly believe hassell is untouchable. He is the future of the padres outfield along with wood, those 2 have the highest ceilings in the padres farm along with susana.

Down vote for Oakland. The A's need quantity and quality when they trade Montas. Dealing him straight up for Hassell doesn't make a lot of sense and including a prospect to close the deal would be even worse.

Hassell is by far the best quality you'll get for him.

Hassell is a great prospect. But when you need to add multiple players than one guy isn't enough of a difference maker. Think the Angels never winning a playoff game with Mike Trout on the roster as the most obvious example. But you're not suggesting a 1-1 swap... you want the A's to kick in a prospect on top. The A's are absolutely not in a place where they should be trading 2 for 1.
