You are right, with Preciado's struggles. I looked at his stats and he's bating .212. I like that he's a switch hitter, I think if the Mariners were to get him, they could help him improve. If your wondering about Levi Stoudt, he has a 5.09 ERA this year, he stats don't look too good, but he has some good pitches like his heater and changeup. The other guys you mentioned, I wouldn't mind getting Happ, but his batting stats don't really impress me. He's only had one season with over 100 hits, although this year he's looking a little better. Madrigal is 25, he hasn't had much playing time, so he could be good, although he's currently injured. Wick, doesn't have a good ERA being a 5.23 this year, but he had an amazing 2019 with a 2.43 ERA with 16 walks and 35 strikeouts. The way to fix this guy is to make him have more command in the strike zone so he walks less hitters. It could be a reason why his ERA is so high. Walking the first hitter and then gives up a home run or multiple hits. Anyway, that's what I think of this trade, it could work, but I think that removing Happ and replacing him with a minor league outfielder like Pete Crow-Armstrong or Kevin Alcantara would be worth more for the Kelenic trade to work.

We're seeing Rowan Wick differently. I'm pretty sure the only times this season that he's had a batter walk then score are: On 6/13, he walked Profar and later Profar scored on a Machado single. 5/26 Matt Reynolds walked, scored on a sac fly from Pham. 5/14 Alek Thomas walked and came on later on from a single. I'm not 100% sure if you were connecting walks becoming runs with his ERA, but that's my guess here. Wick, for me, is too heavy on his 4 seamer and not getting it in the strike zone enough. I'm not sure we're seeing Ian Happ the same way either. He does only have one season of 100+ hits, last year, and he led his team in hits. Led the team in hits in 2020, btw. Only saw 58 games in 2019, had 37 hits, and that'd be about 100 hits if he played 162. Not even sure if hits matter as much as some other offense metrics. My trade proposal here is Kelenic leaves the M's and they go on to contend in 2023. The guys coming over from the Cubs, except Preciado, are Major Leaguers. They aren't expensive, they're not rentals, and the argument for them having upside is convincing enough for me. I am gambling on Happ figuring it out and I think he's going to be able to do it with regular AB's. If I'm the M's looking to win now there's no way I'm taking Crow-Armstrong or Alcantara over Happ. Those two guys are good, but they're unproven. If I'm to have one of them on the field for the Mariners as that team is now, I'm Kelenic > Happ > Crow-Armstrong > Alcantara.

The idea is that Jarred Kelenic's traded away and the Mariner's are aiming to be in the playoffs in 2023, I like Ian Happ. I think he can play CF between Julio Rodriguez and Jesse Winker. I like Trammel a lot too. I just don't know if there's room. Reginald Preciado's had some recent struggles. He's young and I'm taking a flyer on him. I dig the profile and I'm being indulgent here by putting him in the trade. Caleb Wick's underrated by a 0.9. Dude is gonna blast off on a Max Fried-like level. I have no idea what sort of "reloading" the Cubs are planning for. I'm just assuming that they'd trade away Wick here. The premise is that Kelenic's traded to the Cubs, he needs more time to develop and that matches up for the Cubs and not for the Mariners because they're ready to roll now. Maybe another one of their young guys unlocks. Levi Stoudt is my pick, but I'm not too deep into the M's prospects to know anything. I like Toro. Anthony? I'm too lazy to look it up. We had him in another trade proposal. I do like my baseball to be more "see it, hit it" rather than "chicks dig the long ball" aka get paid like Chris Davis.
