3A riff on a riff, a trade proposal reflecting a trade proposal. It's all so very postmodern posturing. I don't like Ozuna on the Braves. I'd rather Senzel in the OF to free up some flexibility and shore up risk with Rookie Michael Harris, protect Acuna, dodge Duvall's streakiness, and just in case Rosario's not the batter that I think he is. So Ozuna for Senzel is gonna take some sweetener for the Reds. How about Ian Anderson? I wouldn't mind Castillo if I'm the Braves, as we're going for back-to-back World Series Championships right now. So if the Braves are buying Senzel and Castillo, offering Anderson, it's also ... Kyle Muller. Would you rather Tucker Davidson? I would, actually. How about Spencer Strider. Dude is fun, a gamer, has gas, and brings it. A lot of $ value now. Lefty SP's live forever. Can he stick in the starting rotation though? Would you rather Kyle Wright? If you're a fan of CIN and seeing your team as being close to contending then it's gonna take bold moves. Anderson's been impressive at times. It's a roll of the dice. Strider/Wright AND Tucker/Muller! That's 3 probably pretty good SP's. The Reds have the lineup already. And the Reds can eat Ozuna's contract. Come on ... Votto's never gonna be DH-only and playin' LF there can't be easier in any other ballpark.
Hi again, we can’t give up strider, he’s a monster. He might not be a starting picture for the long term but he has nasty stuff and could be a quality long reliever or even closer. I would much rather give up waters and muller/ elder to make this trade work. Also I am not of fan of Senzal, he’s a 245 average hitter with little pop. My biggest problem with Senzal is that he can’t stay on the field. He’s only played in over 100 games once and that was his rookie season. I know you don’t like him but Pham should be the guy if we decide to trade for an outfielder with the reds. I think there are better options out there like happ from the Cubs and now bientendi from the royals
I like Spencer Strider a lot as well. He's bEASTMODE. I'm ready to buy a Strider jersey. Trading him away is not giving up on him though. You gotta give something good to get something good. And I'd really like to have Ozuna off the books. I'm willing to roll the dice on Senzel's light bat and injury risk. Fried, Soroka, Wright, Strider, Anderson could be insanely good. I too would prefer to add Happ or Benintendi in 2022 over Senzel.
