When I looked at the Blue Jays pitching, I thought they needed a starting pitcher and Frankie Montas would be perfect for the Blue Jays. Grohans is a third basemen for the Blue Jays and is ranked as their third best prospect. The Blue Jays have Matt Chapmen, so I'm not sure how Groshans fits into the Blue Jays starting roster. Grohans doesn't have the greatest batting average, but is good at defense with an arm grade of 60 and a fielding grade of 50. I know Blue Jay fans aren't pleased seeing Danny Jansen on this list, but considering the Blue Jays already have two very young and talented catchers, Jansen would be a perfect fit that would make this trade to work. The Blue Jays would also acquire some bulllpen pitchers that could help the Blue Jays get more wins. A.J Puk has a 2.73 ERA and in 29 games he has 7 walks and 34 strikeouts, Sam Moll has a 2.45 ERA and in 28 games he has 16 walks and 30 strikeouts. These are my thoughts on the trade. I would be happy to know your opinions about this trade too.

Down vote for Oakland. How is Jansen a "perfect fit" for the A's when he's injured and under team control for less time than the incumbent starting Catcher, Sean Murphy? The A's already have an in-house replacement for Murphy in concensus Top 100 prospect Shea Langeliers at AAA Las Vegas.

I see what your saying. The A's top two prospects are catchers, Soderstrom and Langeliers. Soderstrom will make the Majors around 2024 while Langeliers will make the majors sometime this year. But I think that Danny Jansen could help make Langeliers a better player. He could learn from him, and improve his catching. I was mainly making a best case scenario trade for Toronto because I know they're contending and starting pitching is hurting them a bit. Just look at the ERAS. The best ERA for a starting pitcher on the Blue Jays is Alex Manoah with a 9-2 record, a 2.09 ERA in 15 starts. Also Oakland could use him as a trade piece to get better prospects during the trade deadline or the offseason to get more talented prospects that could boost their rebuild.

Or the A's could trade Montas for good prospects now and skip the middle man. Especially since Beane is going to insist on some pitching as part of the return (as he has whenever he's traded a SP for going on 20 years) and this deal offers no arms. If Jansen gets back into the line-up then maybe there's a path for a 3 team deal that sends Montas to Toronto and Jansen to a Catcher needy club like the Mets/Cards/Guardians but Oakland is not going to acquire another high-value Catcher as part of their rebuild.

I thought of a perfect pitcher for the A's if Beane trades Montas to the Blue Jays. They would ask for Ricky Tidemann. (I'm not sure if I spelled his name correctly) He's been a great pitcher for the Blue Jays A+ Minor League team and he made the top 100 prospects list a few weeks ago.

It's Tiedemann and he's a guy I've been calling for for months. Montas to the Jays. Tiedemann to the A's. Jansen to whomever for prospects back to Oakland.

Sounds like a perfect trade. I think I'll post this to the trade board. Thanks for the feedback.
