2Despite getting swept by the LAD, SFG's are still in the hunt for the WC and therefore, I don't see any reason why they'd part with an asset like Joe Pederson for two fringe prospects. And even if Joe and his pearls were back in ATL, he's not coming over for that low of a price.
You're not wrong about the Giants. More than likely they hold at the deadline or add a small piece since they are close to WC contention. Joc being a rental, it is tempting for them to off-load him. As for the return, I think this is comparable to what the Cubs got last year with the Braves sending Bryce Ball. Darius Vines is a decent arm in AA and Adam Shoemaker is a 19 yr lefty that Giants could work their magic on. If there is a bidding war, Braves are sure to lose out as pretty much any team could beat that offer.
