Spikes

This idea from an article in MLB regarding prospects that could get traded: The Orioles’ resurgence has been fun to see, but they’re not quite in buyer mode. If they were to trade, it might be from their infield depth. With Gunnar Henderson and Jordan Westburg close to knocking on the door, Vavra -- who was called up Tuesday -- could be a bit more expendable as a super-utility type who can play second and the outfield and who has always hit (.306/.410/.468 in his career). I think his bat could play a good utility role and possibly a future starting 2B or CF. He doesn't have a lot of power but if he could continue the hitting success he's had in the minors, then he would be a valuable addition. The Orioles would receive a good pitching prospect in Kelly and give them a possible LH starter as part of their rebuild. Other prospects could also be considered by Baltimore in this trade.
