Kirby is good, but I don't think anyone would say he's the 12th best pitcher in baseball. I know that's not exactly what you're saying, but still... Since OD25, his fWAR would rank him #40 in baseball, and the difference between his results and a rising pitcher like Seymour aren't that far apart, at least not so far apart as to give up an elite closer like Baker (and whatever Urbina develops into). I'm not against the idea of the Rays trading for Kirby, but it would have to include a less important player than Baker to get the deal done. At least in my opinion.
