5Rays don’t trade with the Yankees. Even if they did, I don’t think they will have much interest in a weak bat 2B like Arias.
The return is fine for a mediocre back end of the rotation pitcher with one year left. Arias is just couples years removed from being a top 100 prospect and the glove should be able to play everywhere. I think he has the tools the Rays should like
A mediocre back end rotation pitcher? Hmmm, you might want to check someone's stats before giving your opinion. Littell currently has the 22nd best xERA in baseball and had the 74th best xERA last year (among pitchers with at least 120 IP). He's not an Ace by any means and he doesn't have the best stuff, but he gets results and would be a solid #3 for most teams. His 2025 xERA would easily be the best among Yankees starters. As for Arias, I just can't get excited about an average fielding middle infielders who can't hit .750 OPS in the minors. Maybe the Rays won't do better than Arias when they inevitably trade Littell, but I suspect they'll get a pitcher or two they can work their magic on. In any event, the Rays don't trade players to the Yankees, so this is really all moot.
I think you jinxed Litell today lol
LOL. No kidding. I gotta keep my mouth shut from now on.
