2The one standout from this opening weekend as a Phillies fan was the lack of late inning bench help. Kody is a great bench bat and has been clutch, but I don't see him being used on the team. I don't see a situation where Schwarber, Harper, Castellanos, JT, or Turner get hit for. There is no advantage to hitting Kody for LHH like Stott, Kepler, or Marsh. There may be an occasional chance he hits for Bohm, but that is it. I don't see an opportunity for at bats for him. This weekend in DC the Phillies had to face a LHRP and had multiple stretches where Stott, Marsh, and Kepler had to stay in to face the LHRP. A player like Duran (or a similar RH utility) would be and ideal PH in that spot and he has an option left, unlike Kody. For the rangers, they have the opposite issue. Their bench is very RH and this would give LH bat off the bench or a compliment to the RH Burger.
Doubt rangers would trade Duran for a utility infielder who is out of options and an AAAA starter
