4In my last trade with Cleveland I didn't include Noel. While he is Cleveland's 16th best prospect, his stats aren't the greatest. He batted .242 in AA with 58 hits in 67 games. While he isn't fast he can play 1st base, 3rd base and outfield. The M's could take a chance on him and they can see if they could improve his numbers. Michael Arroyo is the M's 12th best prospect. He is an infielder. While he hasn't made it into single A yet, he batted .314 in 49 games with 48 hits. Emerson Hancock is a starting pitcher that has injury issues, but when he's healthy he has a lot of strikeouts.
No need to include Arroyo in this deal IMO. I'm not sure what Seattle is looking to add for the 23 season. If this package from Cleveland addresses some needs and they feel they have enough pitching to lose Brash and Hancock then by all means Cleveland should oblige. Something tells me Seattle isn't comfortable with that.
Cleveland for sure wants Arroyo if they trade Rosario... he's a 17 year old prospect with good upside, why wouldn't they want him?
Way Cleveland handled Arias at the end of the season and playoffs, I would bet good money they aren't moving him now... I really do not believe Cleveland would do this deal... In my mind, it would be Hancock and Arroyo fo Rosario plus some lotto prospects... it doesn't make sense for either side.
