Not you too... What do the Rays want with Bae? I know BTV gives him a zero valuation (ie: cost) but he would still take a 40 man spot and for what? He's a career 65 wRC+ bat and has negative career fWAR with less than stellar defense. Davis isn't much better. He would never be a catcher for the Rays, and even in the outfield he's a problem. It would be a real contest to see if he or Morel was the worst outfielder. His bat might be worth acquiring though, and he still has options, so I guess I wouldn't mind Davis, but I also wouldn't have any expectations of him developing into a good player at this point. Sterling works of course. Add it all up and I'd be generally fine with the trade, but I'm hoping for more if the Rays trade Fairbanks.

Yea the main target of this deal is Sterling who I think is very underrated so far, the other 2 are throw ins with a twist, Bae is just a Mangum replacement, the Japanese players also seem to get more out of their talent level, I don't expect much from him but I wouldn't be shocked if he turned into a contact orientated CF that plays at just above replacement level, right now I have no faith in the soon to be CF's in DeLuca, Misner, Simpson, etc... I have more hope for Caballero until Aiden Smith is ready so one more depth piece isn't too bad, Davis is the key to me, I'd make him a version of Blake Sabol, at AAA make him work on getting better at LF, RF, and 1B so when he does come up he has a shot to be a version of a super utility guy that can play RF, LF, 1B, DH, 3rd catcher and a power RH bat off the bench, a RH Eric Henske that can catch, I don't see him turning into a starter but that would be a valuable piece to have IF he starts hitting and gets his defense somewhat passable, long shot but either way Fairbanks is one trip down the hallway from another injury riddled season full of mysterious ailments so I'd rather get this before he completely tanks his value.
