To piggyback off of MP's trade. If the Pads trade Cease, they'll want a replacement/ This is it. Machado at 3b, Bogaerts at SS, Cronenworth at 2b, Diaz at 1B, Arraez being that ESPN favorite who is pretty damn shitty and stuck being a utility. Littell isn't Cease, but they won't have to turn to a journeyman either. The O's trade scraps for a #1, the Rays are happy to take scraps and make Bordelaise, and enchant some wins in their new home with some new recipes.

Pivetta may be the Cease replacement though. I still think the Padres could use someone like Diaz though, and the Rays can afford to trade him (particularly if E.Jimenez looks good in ST).
