1Sox end any controversy and immediately sign Vlad to 10/450 contract and Bregman plays 3rd with Mayer the 3B and Arias the SS of the future. They also add 3 young arms to the farm system. Blue Jays most likely not resigning Vlad, so they make this trade, so they don't need to rebuild and have 2 bats under control for years.
