With Horowitz down for possibly months with a wrist injury the Pirates need a proper 1st base replacement.

affordable 1B, RH to eventually short side platoon with Horowitz, young enough he might benefit from change of scenery, maybe Pirate vet (McCutchen ex.) can help him...I think good get from Pittsburgh side. Not sure about guys to Detroit but Tigers really are not depending on Tork, and two 21 year old players is decent return
