The trade is really prospect for prospect but thought Pirates might want to get rid of the approx 13 million Bednar will make the next 2 seasons, but he can be taken out of the trade. in 3 years, the Pirates could have their best starting 9 in YEARS (Horowitz, Gonzales or Temarr, Mayer, Hayes in IF and Reynolds, K. Griffin and Cruz in OF with Bart/E. Rodriguez at C). They would still have their 5 SP's from this year + Harrington and Ashcroft coming up.
