1Never gonna happen. Rays don’t trade players to the Yankees. Even if that weren’t the case, this trade is DOA because of the return. Rice won’t work. Rays have more 1B/DH types than they know what to do with, and are pretty well set at catcher too. Then there’s Peraza. What would the Rays do with him now that they have Kim on the team and C.Williams a year away? Hamilton is a fine player, but the Rays have a good Pen already They aren’t going to trade their best bat for a headliner who is just a good, not great, reliever and already in arbitration.
