The Braves solidify starting rotation (Pepiot controllable for 4 years) and still keep their top 3 minor league arms and give up top catching prospect who seems to be blocked for the next 4 years. The Rays have an extra starter to trade and while I'm sure they would like to trade Littell out of the group available.... they won't get much in return, so I chose Pepiot over Baz. The idea is hopefully next year, Baldwin and Keegan form the L/R catching combo. Ritchie is now past his arm problems and is only 21 and doesn't have to be on 40man until after '26 season. I would make Lara into a RP only with 2 outstanding pitches.

I kinda like the trade but honestly think they could get a better return for Pepoit from another team, I like Baldwin but it looks like they have him set to be the backup catcher this year since they let D'arnard go. I like Ritchie but not Lara, for some reason TB always fumbles relief prospects, I'd rather pickup Holton, Burkhalter, or Sinnard or maybe they could find a way to get Kueler instead, I'd love to find a way to steal Nick Montgomery from them, I don't think he sticks at catcher but I think his bat will be special.

Rays would never trade $20MM in trade value for a rookie catcher. I also think Baldwin is crazy overvalued on BTV, so I'm good with the Rays steering clear of him.
