6Rays seek SS. No confidence in Walls. Arroyo can handle 2b when Carson Williams comes onboard. Reds can use contact oriented LH bat with growing power and good defense. Paredes is Rays 1b of the future. Nice deal for both teams.
I don't see the logic for this trade. Arroyo is a year behind C.Williams, so he won't be helping the Rays in 2025 (or probably even 2026). Is this trade because you don't see Williams working out at SS in the Show and you think the Rays desperately need a backup option that isn't Barrios or Santana, or is there another reason for this trade that I'm not seeing?
Arroyo will be in the majors sometime in 2025, maybe sooner. I like Carson Williams. He would look great in Pantone 199, but with EDLC and McLain the Reds do not need Williams as much as the Rays need him. The doubts you wrote in previous comments about Walls and the readiness of Williams prompted me to offer this proposal.
Arroyo only has 17 ABs in AA. Why do you think he will be called up this year?
Paredes is now an Astro.
You are correct. My mistake, I meant Xaview Isaac.
