Todays MLBTR Chat - John Henry’s Conscience, 11:20 - Casas and Yoshida for Arenado and Helsley (plus some cash changing hands) — does this deal make sense for the Sox/Cards? Mark P, 11:21 - The Cardinals' primary goal in trading Arenado is moving most/all of his salary. Taking on Yoshida's underwater contract doesn't do anything to help that goal.

Correct. Just put this one for fun. I don’t think Yoshida will be involved. I would be shocked if he is. However, in this situation, STL would be saving more than $20M over the next 3 years. Nonetheless, probably not something STL is interested in.
