I think it’s more productive if you offer a rationale. Casas is from Miami, and is a high upside bat for the Marlins. KC gives them a cost controlled pitcher back. Alcantara upgrades the top of the rotation for Boston. If anyone says no, I would say the Red Sox do. Perhaps swap out KC for some prospects, or Casas for Abreu.
I think swapping Crawford for Alcantara and loosing Casas’ bat is a massive step back for the Red Sox overall in ‘25 and beyond. And I think it’s a massive steal for the Marlins, they add a middle of the order power bat and get a SP (that could end up closely replicating Alcantaras production). You claim to be a Red Sox fan that’s why I gave it the 🤦🏻♀️
Well Alcantara is one of the best pitchers in MLB, and would be an amazing #2 behind Crochet. This also falls in line with signing Bregman or trading for Arenado, and moving Raffy to 1B, which I know the Red Sox are open to whether we like it or not. If the Red Sox sign Bregman, he could just play 2B, but since he is the better defender at 3B, I think it makes sense to have him play there instead. This would also give Grissom/Campbell a chance at 2B.
But you didn’t post the trade with the caveat of a potential signing comment. I can only vote on what you post.
