I assume this trade is in response to the article saying the Cardinals were in the market for back end relievers. This trade probably works for the Rays but I gotta think that article was pure clickbait. Aren’t the Cardinals heading for a slow-burn rebuild (slow burn because their big money players keep exercising their no trade clauses)?

I think they are confused on which direction they are going, they seem like they definitely should rebuild IMO, but I'd definitely would love to get Crooks.
