I'll explain the thought process. Tigers appear done with Tork, Dbacks want out of the Monty deal. Dbacks can either pay all of Monty's deal this year or the Dbacks pay like 75% of it and Tigers cover everything else. Either way if Arizona pays most or all of the salary asking for only Tork I think is more than fair
