1Rays might be willing to move both Lowe and Diaz, and maybe in the same trade, and maybe even to an ALE opponent, but it would have to be the perfect trade. The main problem with this trade is that the Rays don’t need pitching for next year, having a 6 man rotation already, and they already have their Hamilton (ie: infield utility guy who lacks the glove to play SS everyday and lacks the bat to be an everyday 2B) in the form of Caballero. Rays say no, even though this trade is great from a value perspective.
