2At first glance, I thought good trade proposal. NY would like Ward, no question. Moving off Stroman salary was good thought , BUT trading Stroman leaves NY thin for 162 grind. NY would need to be confident in unproven SP to fill depth void. Not sure. California could (should) like the upside gamble with Jones but it's not a guarantee success. Still, up is Angels only direction available. Sort of.... California would (should) like this return including Stroman but it might be too risky for NY Very interesting to me.
Stroman's projected for about 1 war. The Yankees can cobble that together from their depth options. They need to get off Stroman's money.
