Comments
1Orioles get their Ace, with opportunity to sign him long term. Birds' net creates 'future now' scenario. They will have some FA fillings so to pursue a veteran or two seems plausible. Padres are one-stop shopping here. Salary involved is about even. 13M<>13M SD also gets 2 players without salary but has opportunity for them. There is the risk/reward factor in Rogers which adds to intrigue for SD but feels like a chance SD needs to take. I think pretty good and fair trade. SD would wheel and deal. Baltimore GM much less inclined to do that.
