3Cardinals clear salary for the final two years of Arenado's contract, and even out a lefty-heavy OF with a reliable RHB. This trade would also work for the Angels with a different St Louis lefty like Burleson.
Birds want prospects or young guys with control, that’s why I included cash and Hels in the deal. And I think the FO values Donovan more than the rest of the league does right now. He’s a good player
Well, as the sim shows, Arenado is quite underwater in terms of his contract value. It's quite a lot of St Louis to expect another club to pay down all his salary *and* surrender prospect capital for an expensive aging player in marked decline. The team paying for him should expect cash or useful, controllable players in return, no?
