If Cubs put the savings from this deal into a closer like Yates, or a down payment on Scott, it feels better from Chicago side. Both Wicks and Lizardo are scary from a health POV. But, I guess, Jesus is worth the chance. Berry, sort of, makes up for the loss of TWO third basemen in the Astros overpay trade. I think Canario is terribly undervalued. He has torn up AAA pitching, plus he's doing it again in winter ball. He just needs a chance. So does good old Matt Mervis. Terrific deal for Yanks. I think they should toss in a prospect. A guy like Durbin (WHO I LIKED A LOT! AND TRIED TO GET IN OTHER DEALS), but Milwaukee, for real, beat me to it.
