3Can't have an A's trade that doesn't include a Forst overpay! Schmitt could be available with Chapman and Adames set on the left side of the Giants infield. Bo Davidson is a toolsy project that'll need some time. Estes can compete for a spot in the Giants' rotation and has 2 minor league options if he can't win a job during Spring Training.
Haven’t ever watched Estes, but the numbers are not especially attractive. I wouldn’t do this as the Giants, at least not yet. Think they still need to sort out the right side of the infield before shipping off a fielder like Schmitt for something they have a lot of: young pitching.
Does Fitzgerald have first shot at 2B? And what would be a more attractive trade offer?
