3With Fried now in the NYY rotation they could look to move a SP for a bat.
I'm not crazy about the deal. It seems that Dombrowski was looking to package Bohm with someone to get an impact arm back, but this move would make sense for both parties. However, with the reports of Rob Thompson calling Bohm and Dombroski's comment about Sasaki, I feel that the Phillies are going to wait out on a trade until after Sasaki signs with a team. If he signs with the Phillies (as unlikely as that is), then I think they hold on to Bohm and see what value Ranger has for an OF. If Sasaki doesn't, I think they would revisit a deal like this to upgrade their SP.
Interesting. Thanks for the feedback.
