Cubs get pitching and two prospects that could help them next year, Cardinals get a high floor pitching prospect ready to start in MLB and a highly thought of OF prospect who is ready to play in MLB along with a ton of payroll relief letting go of Gray. Mariners fill their biggest positions of need and replace Castillo with another pitcher they have wanted for years.

I think the M's would stick Castillo over Gray. Less money on average owed to him and less injury prone. I would do Young for Donovan. Plus a massive overpay for the M's in general

Kmiksovsky

Dipoto has wanted Gray for a really long time and I think he would have gone after him last year if the Mariners ownership had given him the money to do so.
