Not a fan of C.Williams or T.Bradley or both?

CCMosley

Not really not a fan but more of both teams using their depth to improve their team, Reds already have a superstar SS and a ton of infield depth so adding like 4 yrs of Bradley helps strengthen their starters, Rays have a ton of pitching plus the ability to create it so getting McLain for 2 yrs then flipping him for a big return helps TB. Williams probably isn't ready til after super 2 status in 2026 so you get 1.25 seasons of McLain at SS then he slides over to 2nd for Williams if he's ready, I do worry about Williams strike outs so it would be nice to see him reign that in more at AAA then attempt it at the big league level.

I agree on the timeline for C.Williams. I don’t want to trade Bradley though, and certainly don’t want to trade him in a 1:1 trade. I expect Littell to be moved this offseason, Ras and Springs at the Deadline, and McClanny at next year’s offseason. Long story short, the Rays may need to keep Bradley

Reds fan here. Although I'd be OK obtaining Bradley (a team can never have toomuch pitching), McLain is a untouchable as anyone. The Reds already moved India for a RH pitcher to make room for McLain. They're not trading him. You should target Steer instead, as he came up as a 2b.

This trade only makes sense if the Rays are obtaining a good defensive SS with an above average bat. Otherwise it makes no sense.

I forgot about the India deal honestly, TB has so many 3B/2B/1B/DH types they could field 6 teams right now but they are really thin at good fielding SS with any kind of offensive contributions that aren't just a black hole in the lineup
